I'm imagining the world with a decentralized standardized e-store platform that's networked and searchable, wherein we get all or at least most of the benefits of Amazon but no one company owns everything.

You can imagine this, but that doesn’t mean it‘s a realistic alternative. And if aspects of this are developed, it will most likely be by entrepreneurs who become billionaires.
