      that’s how much it costs the patient, not how much it costs the system. that having been said, norway should cure hepatitis c and give it away for free. then we wouldn’t have to have this conversation.

      Hep c treatment is one of Norway’s only expensive treatments because of it being one of the only medications with a USA style monopoly. Oh, and it’s still $20000 cheaper than Gilead’s treatmentpic.twitter.com/73GntQJW3F

          1.Gilead’s drug is the one used in Norway. They hold one of the only monopolies in Norway 2. Cool fact: most medicines are created using public funding, then patented and sold by private companies for profit. So you paying more than the bare manufacturing cost is paying twice!
