If tech can make stands against the legacy institutions, the war will begin in earnest. But it is a war we need, and tech will find they need and can if they honestly stand that they will receive popular support. This is still a democratic system, and that sort of power is real.

AOC screwed over the entire multilayered establishment that Amazon needed to make deals with in New York. In earlier days, that entire political machine would have destroyed her. They are afraid to because of popular support. That's real countervailing power.
