I’ve never had the desire or urge to argue with strangers/ “defend” my work or thoughts.

I don't know about that one. I think someone who really loved their work would rather do it than fight with fools about it.

if the fools have no power over your work, i think that makes sense. but when they run for elected office on a platform of dismantling your industry, i think you have to fight.
