Every year some candidate hands me a 6 page word doc and says "If every voter reads this I will win." And I have to tell them that is a completely true statement. As someone who started their political career in local California campaigns, good luck.

Oh God please don't let this interaction influence you. Do the opposite. Really, turn your thinking 180°. Free political advice: There are only two ways to learn things, from your own mistakes or from other peoples'. Learning from mine/others now: that "if" is 95% of your battle.
