      I listened to the @reason podcast you were on. You stated that affordable energy was the biggest problem of humanity. I disagreed. Looks like we are on the same page now! My Father is a builder and has some views on this I would like to share over a beer next time I'm in SF

      I didn't say housing was more important than energy, I was trying to point out how crazy it is that affordable housing now *qualifies* as a moonshot!

      Oh...then you are still wrong;-)... I guess the definition of "affordable" is what matters. I believe that exponentially lowering the cost of housing is an awesome "moonshot" and more important than exponentially lowering the cost of energy (which is also very important:-)

      exponentially lowering the cost of energy also dramatically lowers the cost of housing, at least in cities where you're still allowed to build (which is most)

      I disagree. I will send over supporting documentation before our meetup. But we are at least starting from the same page: @sfgov is an absolute disaster and doing the exact opposite of them is always a good first step.

      not sure what you're disagreeing with -- energy costs affect everything from cost of materials and labor to upkeep. in a manner of speaking we *eat* energy. when it costs nothing, or close to nothing, that changes everything.

          I was disagreeing with ONLY the word "dramatically". There are countless other factors that affect the cost of housing. But getting into them 140 characters at a time right now would be silly... Hence the beer next time I am in SF or if u ever check out the #SacTech scene...
