Systems that can’t generate housing get replaced by systems that do. That’s all. They don’t have a right to be sustained.
-
agree systems don't have rights. people have rights. you can force me to build a house for you at the point of a gun, but that is a violation of my right to self in *any* system you design.

Also, both the left and right ignore the fact that planning restrictions prevent housing being delivered in areas where people actually want to live, thereby infringing on the right to free movement

Now, I may need some clarification When you force someone to pay for something against their will it's coercive theft of property, right? Wouldn't forcing people to build under market rate be slavery? Because we know gov doesnt pay for free market labor. Just ask doctors.
-
The free economy determines market rate through voluntary negotiation.

It’s just much more cost efficient to help people in need, compared to the costs of high crime rates, suicides and sprawling homelessness. In Denmark it’s not a oppressive ‘communist’ government, but a democratic decision, by the people, to live in a healthy and generous society
-
not talking about cost efficiency, i'm talking about language. you can live in a society that provides everyone housing. but to call it a "human right" negates rights to property, self, and association, and so the concept itself of human rights.

You could still do rights with a Lockean proviso. There should be a theorem of ethics somewhere that all frameworks allow a defense of all positions.
