No one is saying Iran is good. (Although they're about as "bad" as anyone else in this clusterfuck.) This post is suggesting some sort of innate badness, when really it was the US which destabilized the region and brought about the Ayatollah.
there is no moral equivalency between the US government, for all of its faults, and the government of iran, an actual prison state. the post is criticizing what is essentially the iranian slavery of women. i don’t care why they do it, it *should* be criticized.

Iran hasn't started wars in 7 countries halfway around the world. They had nothing to do w/911. Their madness is internal and it's largely a product of US interventionism. Very hard to criticize their "badness" when we had a hand in inflicting it on them.
