I viewed the take as more of a satirical outlook at a societal problem. I don’t think a rational person would condone a mass murder of any kind. I was pointing out that the lowest person on that list would be 5bn... exasperating the point of how much gaudy wealth there is.

But that's the point exactly. Most of the wealth isn't "gaudy". High Net Worth Persons (HNW) generally reinvest their entire new worth. I can also tell you that HNW landlords generally treat their tenants better than corp REITs, allowing much more generous workouts in default.
