yeah I think maybe the point was to show how some people use a term selectively to delegitimize specific expressions they disagree with, and thereby encourage people to be critical when encountering cynically persuasive rhetoric. just spitballing here
translation: republicans are hypocrites. thanks, got it. agree with it. responded to it. our broader problem is the practice of destroying people, now institutionalized by the media, not which people from which camp are being destroyed.
