Do you feel the same now given the growth of the #YangGang? I think Yang said it well, skills training programs are great, but they're not enough. UBI is the transition tool we'll need to make programs like that viable. The industrial revolution didn't just 'work out' in the end
thanks for the kind words about AON! fwiw I think yang has grossly overstated the impact of automation on labor. the bigger concern I have is automation *doesn't* seem to be happening the way folks predicted a decade ago.
How so? Customer Service, retail, etc are already being eaten. Trucking soon. Even lawyers at risk. Yet very few skills training at scale in the works. Even without automation, there's still an underlying growing gap between low skill, low pay poverty trap jobs and high wage ones
