I'm thinking there is confusion with many younger folk about what equality means Equality is having the same opportunity as others. However, many seem to conflate the notion of equal opportunity w/ equal outcomes; conflating Equality w/ equity Picking favorites isn't equality.

In talks with teens, while many seem to prefer equal outcome for edu, resource access,etc.. regardless of various demographic features- social status is still hierachizable, and that status is frequently self-justifying on the means.
