All true, but the idea of "heroism" portrayed is so sanitized as to be almost meaningless. Relies heavily on the audience to project their own morality onto characters to fill in the gaps.

there are great films in the genre and poor films in the genre. imo the box office just proves how badly people need this in their lives. the death of god and country has left a gaping hole in us.
