I'm still debating internally whether or not healthcare -- in totality -- is a human right. There's a spectrum right? It has to break down at some point? I could see access to common treatments as a human right, but targeted, genetic therapy not so much. What do you think?

Rights are a made up concept anyway. We can make them be anything we want. If everyone agreed you have the right to free pizza, you'd have the right to free pizza.
*sigh* no, actually, natural rights are logically deduced. a right to pizza (for fuck’s sake, people) would conflict with rights to self and property, and so create a new, self-negating (and therefore essentially non-existent) system of rights.

We are animals. We behave like animals. Rights are an extension of the morality that we both evolved and developed in societies. That's why rights are generally similar, but vary between culture. If they could be deduced, they would be the same everywhere.
