Ok, I’ll give you a serious answer too. I think the NAP argument is a good one. You’re having a minority force terrible air and smelling clothes and negative health consequences on everyone else.

one can use the public health argument to justify everything from altering the work week to forcing vaccinations on newborn children. it *has* been used to justify sterilizing people. collectivism has no bottom.

Yeah but it’s also quite plausible to get terrible societies by laissez-faire. I used to think libertarianism is a hall pass from having to pick values, but now I think governance necessarily is a struggle. You have to pick values and fiercely defend them.
