Most people banned from other conferences are aggressive supremacists of some kind. Quirky people who believe in ghosts and UFOs aren’t the type of people who get banned / violate CoCs. Hence a common understanding that you’re hosting another Charlottesville.

I was banned from a forum on third world toilets for pointing out that composting toilets were cheaper, easier to maintain, and had a more immediately salable biproduct than million dollar solar powered/mechanical/waste condensing toilets. Seriously.
