@HumaneTech_ are more on point: tweaks to some incentive structures are good. -
Tweaks to incentive structures are economic not technological. We can incentivize good behavior—do not pollute lest you incur a tax; do build hardware with renewable materials—& punish bad behavior. But we 100% need technological progress & it isn’t happening fast enough.

In fact, Mike, since you brought it up: A lot of money and effort has been invested into moving human activity online en masse. I could log off Twitter, sure. But I'd need to be independently wealthy to afford going totally offline, and even wealthier to afford privacy, so...
