Many think science means listening to experts and taking them at face value. It’s why you hear nonsense arguments like “98% of scientists think...”, as if that is additional evidence. To your point, high skepticism all around produces both results and distrust in them.

^^^^ I feel at home with these comments. Lol. Many seem to believe that scientific findings are the word of god and concrete But the scientific method is actually the position of trying to disprove findings to validate. It's never concrete, just "not yet disproven." Skepticism
