Not advocating for their viewpoint just looking for a framework to understand why they hold it
not actually their viewpoint, imo. meaningful achievement is extremely difficult. reframing such achievement as "privileged naïveté, actually" is a socially acceptable way to feign empathy while doing nothing. this guy doesn't care about poor people. he cares about his fanzine.
