Eh I mean they aren’t “wrong” it’s definitely easier to think big when you are higher up Maslow’s hierarchy and society has done a fine job of mostly letting white men to the top. We are really only 150 years into taking equality and freedom seriously as values

I thought this way living in a homeless shelter and on my mother's floor and (currently) in a beautiful, overpriced San Francisco apartment. Thinking big is not a privilege.

In the most charitable interpretation I imagine they are saying: “which of these ideas serves all of humanity, which primarily serve the most advanced and privileged people (western world generally)?”

Not that they took a charitable view either- all of what you listed, if well-applied, benefits the supermajority if people if not more.

Probably a safe bet. I avoid restaurants / bars with sticky floors and lines. I think as you get older, you find broad stroke rules to live by that work out 9 / 10 times.
