“free college for everyone” is a scam. kids go to college to 1) get drunk, and 2) have sex. technology can improve both of these things for a fraction of the cost. but while we’re on the topic of actual education: if it isn’t an adaptive learning AI gtfo of my timeline.
i would like to fall in love before i die. i would like a superintelligent synthetic being to help me do this (and trust me that’s what it’s gonna take). but you assholes are out here training machines to sell bathing suits. folks, BATHING SUIT A.I. IS CANCELED.
i shouldn’t have to drop the mic. there should be a global network of displays and feeds that free us from portable hardware by now. and if we ever decide to learn something about the human mind we might even have a shot at interfacing with machines directly.

The main beneficiaries of "free college" are the colleges themselves: -They get left off the hook for charging so much for so little -They can continue to pull in revenue under such an arrangement regardless of whether students benefit from what's being "taught"
