Generally agree, but there are some great books written in the last number of years. Certainly including anything written by Chernow.
perhaps the caveat is anything long form on the topic of something very old? :)

This is a solid addition to the Lindy effect. Perhaps we should seek out Lindy topics rather than Lindy texts.

How does this impact our familiarity with specific technologies and scientific research which are being added to our knowledge base? Lindy seems to be about risk. There is more risk in being wrong on a recent topic but also potentially more reward.
