I guess the one thing to keep in mind is that all engineered solutions have unintended consequences. I agree with you but also have to think deeply about blowback.

I haven't seen an effort in California for reforestation. That's a great way to sequester c02. Just still have 3,000ft tall grass mounds of dead grass. Forests of pine would help with even inland rainfall

Most every tree in California will burn down in next 10 years so planting trees backfired and causes more fires.
