the only way your critique makes sense is if people were not already constantly being forced to change their insurance. if you like your health insurance plan, too bad, your boss can force you to get a new one at every open enrollment and you can't keep it across jobs.
there's no health insurance i've ever received from a job i couldn't purchase myself from the provider. we seem to have different definitions of the word "force."
