MtGs reliance on top decking creates regrettably high RNG vs other TCGs, lowering the skill ceiling. Pokemon fixed this with added draw cards, Keyforge fixed this is interesting ways too.

This is fucking true. Mana screw was an unintended consequence of the resource system designed by the first mover in the category. TCGs since then have fixed this problem in many different ways, but nearly all competitive MtG players are mana screw bitterenders.

Other dumb thing MtG players won’t back down on: because you rarely draw more than 1/2 of your deck, milling your opponent’s library does statistically nothing (literally equivalent to shuffle + reveal one piece of info) unless your intent is to mill the opponent’s deck.
