you could conceivably run a search on yourself and find every appearance at once, then immediately petition all hosting sites to take the material down

Yes, but the fact that a video appears online isnt necessarily a violation or a crime. Whomever owns the copyright (recorded it) can publish it if they want. It's no different than taking a photo. The photographer owns the rights. Granted it was legal
