impossible to discuss free speech vs. a monopoly’s right to absolute autonomy until we accept 1) we now largely live extra-physically, *in* the internet (enormous paradigm shift - swallow it, digest it) 2) inability to speak on the internet effectively erases a person from public
haven’t thought much about it — how is this related to clear self-expression?

The ability to express is closely linked, like it or not, to being held accountable for that expression. If you’re saying we live extra-physically in the internet then that treads dangerously close to saying the data sets of behaviors labeled by private entities as us are us.

thinking about something (eg viewing behavior) is not the same thing as saying something, but agree this is potentially dangerous new territory
