your boy bernie could have said this. instead he paused, thoughtfully considered the question, and declared his position terrorists *still in prison* should be voting. he hasn’t retracted, and you haven’t dissented. no one is forgetting this.https://twitter.com/AOC/status/1121421715324772354 …

This feels like nit picking. Is it a right or a privilege?

really insane. prisoners lose almost *all* of their rights including movement, property, arms, and even speech (try tweeting in prison with the cell phone you can’t have). perhaps the far left rejects the concept of prison in general? i don’t.

Is it insane? I think there's a proper debate to be had. The founding fathers claimed rights were inalienable. Just saying.

confused about what you're advocating here: granting rights to prisoners or abolishing prisons? if the former, i can assure you the founding fathers weren't arming prisoners. if the latter, that's an interesting, but very extreme position i simply don't agree with.

you’re proposing the radical change here, not me. if you want to abolish prisons, the burden of explaining how this will not lead to chaos is yours.

so you think there is a subset of the population with interests so extremely misaligned with society they must be forcibly stripped of all rights... *except* the right to vote on the fate of society
