That’s true. Despite the acting, i like the transparency benefit of having hearings on video. Press conferences I can take or leave. But it’s nice for folks to be able to see what their Congress creatures are up to even if they amp it up a bit for the cameras.

Right, and maybe it’s just me, but I’d be more concerned about what they’re doing if the cameras were alwsys off.

This “Transparency” is bad for republics. The people elected are the weirdos who promise the base they’ll never compromise. Real change always happens in smoke-filled rooms. Denying that just forces the system to move to less efficient, poorly icentivized smoke-filled rooms.
