E.g. at this point does it really matter if you're at the top of the tech category with the umpteenth show on "AI" or "machine learning" vs. being top 10 in a larger category by covering a common topic with a tech/utopian approach? Tech is just the "how."
any broader category would definitely be better, but they’re much more competitive, which is why i suspect so many shows pretend to be shows about technology — for the vanity metric
