Steven Pinker will stare an angry socialist in the face and say "but things are technically good!" He will persuade no one, and he will sleep well — satisfied by his own logic. But if proponents of the liberal state continue to argue like this, we will lose everything.

I wonder if actually parables are the most effective way to teach lessons of morality. They are often short, and the plot twist shocks people into a new mental frame before they can put up their mental shield. Do you know if American authors wrote parables during the soviet era?
