I hear you and I still don't think there's anything wrong with pointing out contradictions between foreign policy & American values, and domestic policy & American values.

the reason that Asian-Americans like me are in this country today is because there was a contradiction between Jim Crow & racialized immigration quotas at home between 1924-1965 and democratic values the U.S. was trying to export abroad to other countries in the post-WWII period
