i don’t think venus is impossible, just much much much harder. i think we need to focus our resources and start with mars.

We should make a bet and wait 5 to 10 years to settle it. You have a good chance to win; momentum for Mars is just stronger. The key aspect is not the tech to get to either planet, it's in-situ resource utilization for self-support, and Venus has more CO2 and energy available
