I know it's no solution, but my mental health and overall wellbeing has improved a lot since I stopped engaging and started unfollowing outspoken socialists on Facebook and Twitter.

I've tried discussion for decades, with an openness to have my mind changed, listen to what is being said, repeat the strongman version of what is being said, and prepared to only give polite rebuttals. Except for making me better at debate nothing much came of it.

You see in the responses why it's so unfortunate that people call the free-market system "capitalism." This tweet could be read: "The one true form of freedom is to be ruled by the wealthy." Is it any wonder many people don't go for that?
