i’m not saying the government doesn’t innovate. in fact i’ve argued the opposite publicly, and just spoke to all of the things here mentioned on twitter (in the context of existential threats as a necessary gov catalyst). i’m saying this has nothing to do with social welfare.
and to be extra clear, again, i’m not even saying welfare is wrong. i’m saying these things are totally unrelated.
