there’s *some* additional nuance in the piece, but the headline language is an ironically a-scientific, religious position. it can not become the way we talk about the natural world.

to the scary topic in question — planet’s warming! — i agree the evidence indicates an alarming trend. so instead of outlining rules for defending orthodoxy, it’s time to start outlining strategy for large-scale carbon sequestration. let’s be geoengineers
