While I agree FDR did all those things, the power he was able to usurp was due to standing on the shoulders of Lincoln’s actions. Lincoln Suspended Habeas corpus, locked up thousands , arrested the Maryland legislature, arrested Chief Justice Taney, shut down 300 newspapers
