Has anyone studied *why* they're content to invest, then just leave the property "fallow" and not even rented out? I've not heard anything on this front. Obvious guess is landlord-unfriendly laws, but confirmation (or not) would be super-good to have.
Sure, but why not store wealth *and* generate a steady income stream, with incidental effect of increasing the usable housing supply thereby reducing housing prices from what they otherwise would have been?
