The article suggests it’s because he is a trader and there was concern he might be shorting the stock and thus talking his own book. I don’t believe any of these folks are likely to do that. Maybe Chamath.

I’ve been told dude lives primarily in Hawaii these days. It would be amazing if he ran the Prop C as a non-resident from an island paradise lair, and would also explain why he always seems to be wearing a Hawaiian shirt in interviews.
