Stole? Why write the books if you don’t want people to read them? They are indeed absorbing the books and their underlying mindset, and I think that’s great
my point is if you have to read a book on how to be audacious, and then you copy the outfit, you aren’t audacious. if you’re the “silicon valley of [some other place]” you’re necessarily not like silicon valley. this is not to say you can’t make money cloning things, of course.

Do you mean that EU VCs will necessarily be a couple of steps behind American ones? If not, I don't know if founders really care about "real" audacity vs "copied" one (assuming there actually is a practical difference)
