      because anecdotal evidence is not statistical support for an argument. we have, by the numbers, a chronic, almost systemic homelessness problem. these programs have literally - demonstrably - failed, and the people who are fighting for them right now are actually hurting the poor

      Budget and Legislative Analyst reports and recommendations for Accept & Expend Grants, Annual Reports, Controller’s Reports, and HUD NOFA scoring for fund dispersement and program prioritization are very real numbers.

          I completely understand the frustration of what we see on the streets everyday, but I promise you - without these programs, it would be much worse. That’s why we need to scale up what we know works, and we need the funding to do it.

          I travel all over the country, and believe it or not, San Francisco is on the forefront of many of these programs. Other cities look to us for answers because they’ve seen increases of up to 35%, while our numbers have plateaued.
