There’s all this rage and sadness looking for somewhere to land, because we’re in the midst of a social system deregulating out of control. People come here spoiling for a fight. The attacks are the point, so it doesn’t take much to spawn them. They create the rage and sadness.
We assumed the natural regulation of “not being physically near eachother, you can just put the phone down, put the laptop away” was enough. It was plausible, even expected.
