They really need humans running YouTube not bots 😔

Kinda hard when 300 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube per minute.

Yep, they should've considered this earlier then. A multi-billion corporation like YouTube/Google shouldn't be a problem. Plus they just shut Google+ so people need jobs now

No matter what you do, there will need to be bots involved at some stage in the process to filter out videos that are obviously not a problem. They definitely can’t afford to pay a workforce large enough to manually review every video uploaded.

Understandably so, but how many times have their terrible bots and algorithms hurt innocent and clean channels? How can all the power be given to a random that can strike channels etc. It needs moderation and there is none

That’s at least the perception. Honestly, I think nobody has a clue how much actual human moderation there is. But given the sheer volume of uploaded content, bots are bound to make mistakes just as a function of probability.

They need to tweak their search parameters or at very least reduce the sensitivity. I'm sure Google wouldn't wanna be slapped with an automated fine, or docked a week's wage due to an algorithm. Swings and roundabouts

I’m sure they’re constantly tweaking the parameters, just like how the algorithm for recommending content is constantly changing. We just only see when it gets it wrong, and not the 99% of the times it does its job. (1% of 432,000 hrs of video /day is still 4320 hrs of mistakes)

While I do think that it’s very important that YouTube improve its bots and improve its moderation, we should all stop and try to understand just how gargantuan the task is. There’s no easy solution.
