@michelletandler would you draw conclusion from this post that violent crime is flat then? -
I think 2020 data is mostly meaningless. All of downtown was empty of workers (so very few larceny thefts), tourists didn't come, and everybody was stuck at home. The stats I look at are overdose deaths and burglaries.

It may be the usual start of the month moves around town, but I think the amount of moving trucks I have seen over the past month has been unusually high. There are a fair amount of apartment vacancies, too. People are bailing out of SF.

Hang on, that's almost irrelevant to the double speak going on. Violent armed robberies are being reclassified as property crimes wholesale. The data is misleading but that also begs to question the motivation behind it. What type of society are they trying to create for us?
