I've never understood why prosecutors hate letting once pronounced guilty out of jail when proven wrongfully accused. Is their ego that big?

Because it puts all other cases they prosecuted under scrutiny.

That tells me they need psychiatric help. If their self confidence that weak go into another profession not putting citizens lives at risk.
