Love how it’s “political courage” when he betrayed his party and voters to side with the left to win the praise of The NY Times and other leftist media.

Yes...if people don't walk in lockstep with an ideology and narrative it's"betrayal." (sarcasm font goes here). I'd prefer to think of it as processing information to make intelligence decisions NOT based on blind ideology.

If he didn't vote against repealing Obamacare, he'd be seen as a staunch conservative. The Right turned on him after that. The Left hated him when he ran against Obama. He was a man who endured much in his lifetime, suffered immensely and has family & friends that love him.

He was never a staunch conservative. There was nothing conservative about his stance on taxes &, immigration. Nice try though.

Again, it was his siding with Obama issues. Before that, The GOP base voted for him to be POTUS. Then again, I don't diminish someone's service to my country or deny sympathy for a painful, tragic death because we don't see eye-to-eye politically.

You do know that the vote was on a point of order and that the political implications in Arizona were negative to McCain. Courage? It wasn't cowardice to go against his base.

McCain has my respect for his service, but don’t try to make him a Saint! He abandoned the Republican Party, that is ok if he chose that, but trying to say political courage is gone is wrong! Millions of Americans have courage to step up to fight the left wing democrats & media!

Political revenge is what McCain did. It would have been courage for him to put the will of those who elected him first and for him to respect the office of the presidency first and foremost before himself. That’s courage.
