BTW @michellemalkin, I was dismayed to see @twitchyteam editor Sarah D. use terms like "sleazy" and "slime" to refer to Candace Owens on a recent post. What is going on over there?

I'll take a stab at this. (1) For years I've been using the term, "pundit's disease," to refer to the phenomenon of short-tempered, intolerant, arrogance that attends to nearly all opinion writers & talent who develop a following.
-
(2) Even the masters of even-tempered calm, such as .
@batchelorshow and@DennisPrager are occasionally bitten by this self-defeating-in-modern-times, primal human defense mechanism. -
(3) New, young, fiery pundits seem to be especially prone to this phenomenon, because they often use antagonistic, edgy, or sharp rhetoric that generates a lot of blowback. This quickly overwhelms their ability to keep track of threads of conversation.
-
(4) They end up taking a batter's stance & take on every non-supportive reply as fast pitches to be swatted away. Their tolerance for a differing opinion is converted to a habit of swinging for the fences every time. The least disciplined celebrate every hit. </Baseball analogy>
-
(5) This leads to making unneccessary and unwarranted enemies out of people who would actually have been allies if not for the interposition of pundit's disease. Worse, it leads to a refusal to accept honest, friendly criticism, & develops a fragility of ego.
-
(6) Those of you who have been inexplicably blocked by people you followed (because you like their commentary) know what I mean. Pundits need to develop not only thick skin, but also temperance. Not every reply comes from an enemy. Not every disagreement is part of The Divide.

Several rising twitter stars on the right have gotten downright abusive in treatment of followers who raise a minor point of objection. It's immature, and if they are paid writers, it's unprofessional. It takes the same amount of effort to be nice as to be a jerk. * * *

At some point we will all have to concede that Twitter is simply a propaganda tool for Progressive/Socialist elites and actually come up with our own forum that will not suppress free speech.

Twitter is destroying itself.

Apparently they’re not as long as we’re still here. Remember the movie, “A Day Without Mexicans?” Imagine Twit dealing with “A Day Without Conservatives?”

We are effective and therefore must be suppressed. Trumps win had a lot to do with social media, so big tech & Jack will NOT let that happen again this November.
