I hope he’s well compensated for losing all those years of his life...

They never are "well compensated".
-
I pray he can put his life back together - those years are gone. This can happen to any of us.
-
Almost all cases I've heard of live very quietly, become invisible. Life & deaths & time moved on without them. They have to learn about "new" things, cell phone use, resumes for jobs.....try to connect w/ family, old friends, those that're still alive.

That guy should never have to work another day in his life - I hope he sues

May God bless this gentleman. So sad when the wrong person is convicted.

Hi Michelle, maybe Trump can pardon Daniel Holtzclaw. I'm confident you can get Trump's attention with your public image/presence in media. Just a thought, you are very convincing when you make a case for something. Good day.

It is many cases like this that cause me to never support state death penalties in criminal cases. Corruption, prosecutorial misconduct, police misconduct...

Sad, the state of prosecutorial abuse.
-
Finding innocent men, convicted of a crime they did not comit, made me re-think capital punishment. With DNA clearing so many men, and the release of Alice Johnson I no longer support capital punishment. There is excessive prosecutorial abuse.
-
Bear in mind that DNA testing has come a long way. So would you not condone capital punishment in cases where there is actual hard evidence like video or DNA testing now? Just because we learn more than we do, doesn't mean we did it all wrong before.
-
You make a good point. I have thought about this for years. But, I have come to the conclusion you can not trust government. As far as I am concerned, there is no reason to make exceptions.

He's a man of color, this is how our criminal system is set to work. Destroying people of color.

The only reason it's hard to be against the death penalty is the number of times the courts get it wrong. Incredibly sad
