This update has been in the works for a while w/ the goal of preventing bad content (like spammers, impersonators, etc) from monetizing. While it will impact some good channels, we believe it's the best compromise to protect our community.

Why not make a system which checks when a video of a small channel makes hundreds of thousands views and when a channel has a bad views-subs rating (millions of views with a small amount of subscribers). This system won't affect anyone while making YT great.
