I have had a number of artists contact me hoping for a pay day— y’all, it isn’t like that. I don’t care how many followers you have on IG, what have you done? What are you willing to do? The money MIGHT be there is you’re dying to make your dream real.

This means you gotta REALLY want it. It means discomfort, losing time and being broke. I know it’s gonna hurt, but making things can potentially take some of that sting away. It feels good to have made something.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but it’s my truth, and I suspect that people who have had another path are faced with far different circumstances than I.

This isn’t a “do it for exposure” thing, it’s a- you gotta establish a ground to stand on to get paid- thing.

This means getting with friends and doing it based on passion. This means teaming up with other folks with similar goals and vision... I know memes and stuff say don’t work without pay, but it’s a half truth...

One day, along with weather predictions, events will come with casualty warnings. “Overcast skies in the lower 60’s. 3 are expected to fall victim to an attack from a gunman at the annual YWCA spaghetti feed fundraiser.” These tragedies are being normalized at an alarming rate.

Well... we just crushed all 3 seasons in like 2 days. PURE GOLD.
